Community SupportVocational Services for Individuals with Mental Illness
The Vocational Services Program serves individuals in Rensselaer County with severe and persistent mental illness who are seeking to enter the workforce or improve their current employment status. Services include coordination with clinical providers as well as job seeking, resume development and the establishment of a work goal. Also included are job-related research, interview skills, dressing for success, and stress management. Vocational services can assist individuals in getting and keeping employment. Individuals will be linked to community resources that pertain to their specific plan of employment in order to obtain maximum support in employment areas.
