It is the policy of The Workshop dba Northeast Career Planning, when recruiting, hiring, training, promoting, and terminating employees to comply with those laws which prohibit discrimination as to race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, domestic violence victim status, military status, marital status or any other basis protected by applicable state and federal law.
As the Executive Director of The Workshop, I reaffirm that the above policy, in conjunction with the Company's Affirmative Action Program, reflects The Workshop's attitude and its intention to:
Recruit, hire, train and promote for all job classifications without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status or any other basis protected by applicable state and federal law.
Base decisions on employment so as to further the principles of equal employment opportunity.
Ensure that promotion decisions are in accord with the principles of equal employment opportunity.
Ensure that all other personnel actions, such as compensation, benefits, transfers, terminations, Company-sponsored training, education tuition assistance, social and recreational programs, will be administered without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status or any other basis protected by applicable state and federal law.
Provide, pursuant to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, equal employment opportunities asset forth above to qualified persons with a disability.
Provide, pursuant to the Vietnam Era Veteran Readjustment Act of 1974, as amended, equal opportunities as set forth above, to those who are covered veterans.
The Workshop, in compliance with Executive Order 11246, as amended, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act of 1974, as amended, maintains written Affirmative Action Programs. The non-confidential elements of the Executive order 11246, as amended, Affirmative Action Plan are available upon request. The Affirmative Action Plans developed in compliance with Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and 38 U.S.C. 4212 of the Vietnam Era Veterans Rehabilitation Act, as amended are available for inspection upon request, through the EEO Coordinator during normal business hours.
The Workshop will take all necessary steps to ensure that no person intimidates, threatens, coerces, or discriminates against any individual because that individual has filed a complaint, furnished information, or assisted or participated in any manner in an investigation compliance review, hearing, or other activity related to the administration of this policy.
Overall responsibility for directing and implementing this policy and the Affirmative Action Program has been assigned to Nancy Rider, the EEO Coordinator. This policy has the full backing and support of the Executive Director, and support of all employees is expected.
