Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Treatment

Options and Connections

Counselor teaching a class.

IPRT is a Medicaid funded community mental health service designed to help individuals with a psychiatric disability make informed choices about where to work, go to school or live. If you or someone you know is unsure of what you want to do, where to go, or how to make a change in one of these areas, IPRT may help.

Using an educational model, participants are taught in a classroom setting with approximately 6-8 people per class. Practical skills needed to be successful (i.e. time management, stress management, communication skills, assertiveness skills, etc.) are developed.

The curriculum is highly interactive and includes many activities to assist you with understanding what options are available. Teaching formats include facilitator instruction, resource visits in the community, guest speakers, individual rehabilitation counseling, and peer support.

IPRT staff and participants collaborate to create an Individual Service Plan so you can choose a goal and achieve success.
Eligibility Criteria includes a psychiatric diagnosis and a referral by a Licensed Practitioner.
