Northeast Career Planning is the largest provider of sign language interpreter services to the Capital Region. Private and government agencies, schools and colleges, businesses and health care facilities depend upon NCP for qualified professional interpreters to facilitate communication with deaf individuals.
In a region where interpreter resources are scarce, consumers have come to depend upon us for service that does not compromise on standards of skill, professionalism or ethics. We support the interpreters on our roster in their efforts at professional development and provide strong incentives for them to pursue national certification and other recognized credentials.
The Interpreter Referral Service also provides information and consulting services on issues relating to deafness, sign language and interpreting. As part of our ongoing commitment to the community, this assistance is offered at no charge, as are in-service training and other educational programs.
