Job Placement Program
Northeast Career Planning's Traditional Employment Service is designed for individuals needing minimal support to obtain or maintain employment. Through ongoing vocational counseling, career exploration and supportive services, NCP's organizational structure is designed to support the needs of job seekers and enable day or evening employment activity.
Services include:
- Individual assessment
- Job seeking instruction
- Resume preparation
- Employment advocacy
- Job placement
- Job site re-design
- Post employment follow up
- Disability awareness and ADA consultation
- Re-placement if necessary
NCP's employment staff work in collaboration with numerous community agencies and are active in organizations such as the New York State Rehabilitation Council, Job Placement Consortium, APSE, multiple county Community Services Boards and the Adirondack Regional Employment Consortium.
Other agencies which offer expertise to NCP staff and consumers include
Independent Living Center(s), NYS ACCES-VR , Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped, Department of Social Services, Capital Region One-Stop(s), county and local Mental Health providers, clinicians, school personnel, substance abuse treatment providers, and NYS Division of Probation.
