Terra has been employed with NCP for 3.5 years as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the Pre-Vocational and Long Term Sheltered Employment programs at the Norton Work Center. In addition to counseling/case management responsibilities, Terra is also the Intake Specialist for the programs. Along with her fellow team members, Terra helped to launch NCP’s OPWDD-directed Pathway to Employment program.
Originally from Vermont, Terra relocated to pursue her undergrad at Keene State in New Hampshire. Terra graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Minor in Sociology and Associate of Science in Chemical Dependency. Currently Terra is working on her Master’s Degree in Social Work through University At Albany on a part-time basis.
Terra’s employment history/experience consists of working with various populations in need, up to and including, victims of domestic violence/sexual assault, at-risk adolescents, children in troubled families and individuals with mental health and/or developmental disabilities, as well as physical impairment.
When she is not working or tending to the many responsibilities of a graduate level student, Terra is a fitness enthusiast, participating in various races ranging from 5ks to obstacle courses. She also enjoys hiking trips, biking, lifting weights at the gym, yoga classes and being a member of Upstate New York’s Most Informal Running Club.
